Katie Bowers, MA, LLP

Katie B

Katie completed her Master of Arts degree in clinical psychology at the University of Detroit Mercy, with a specialization in child clinical psychology. She is licensed in the state of Michigan as a master’s limited psychologist (LLP). Katie has extensive experience in administering psychological evaluations, specializing in assessing for autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental disorders in youth. Katie is dedicated to supporting families with understanding evaluation results/recommendations and views this as an integral part in assisting them in navigating next steps. She has experience collaborating with individuals of all ages and their families/caregivers in addressing behavioral concerns through the development of individualized treatment plans, building strengths, advocating, and linking appropriate resources/services. Katie’s therapeutic approach is flexible and allows her to utilize techniques from various therapeutic orientations to meet the individual’s unique needs. She is skilled in holding space for her clients and building a supportive therapeutic relationship through empathy and respect. Katie is committed to creating a safe and inclusive space. She advocates social justice. Katie has a passion for working with neurodiverse individuals and an interest in working with women that are struggling with an infertility journey. Furthermore, her areas of practice include anxiety, depression, life transitions, and parenting support.
