Katie Padula, MA, LPC, NCC

Ms. Padula is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) providing individual and group counseling services to both adults and adolescents over the past decade. Her approach to counseling is holistic and collaborative, considering how an individual’s physical, mental, relational, and spiritual standing relate to overall well-being. Ms. Padula is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with a history of working as part of a comprehensive DBT team for 9 years. Her specialties include delivering DBT and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for the treatment of depression/mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, self-injury/suicidal behavior, substance use, and personality disorders, particularly Borderline Personality Disorder. She is also versed and trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), a CBT based treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Additional credentials include Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), an evidenced-based practice for PTSD; Seeking Safety, evidenced-based for trauma and substance abuse; as well as various mindfulness-based approached to therapy and integrative healing. Ms. Padula is the clinic supervisor and has completed the Michigan LPC Supervision Course, credentialing her to provide licensing supervision to limited licensed professional counselors. She has also served as a supervisor for graduate students in practicum at the Oakland University Counseling Program. Ms. Padula completed her Masters in Counseling at Oakland University and is certified with the National Board of Certified Counselors.
