Agnes Ward

Dr. Ward is a Licensed Psychologist, Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Licensed Behavior Analyst. She conducts therapy with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. She focuses on treating depression (including post-partum), anxiety, grief and loss, eating disorders, marital and family issues, behavioral problems, self-injury, personality disorders and substance abuse. She has extensive experience with severe mental illness, working with patients in the hospital and higher level of care out-patient settings. Dr. Ward also conducts pre-marital and marital assessments. She serves as consultant for agencies seeking to become trauma informed and has advised on process, procedures, and physical space/aesthetics that promote a safe environment.

Dr. Ward conducts a variety of trainings and educational workshops to clinical professionals, educators, religious and community groups on depression, anxiety, suicide, the effects of trauma across the lifespan, implementing a trauma informed system of care, eating disorders, human trafficking, self-injury and various customized topics related to mental health. She has served as a content expert to local newspapers and media on a variety of mental health topics.

Dr. Ward is the author of Your Personality and You Journal: Prompts and Practices to Better Understand Yourself, Reflect, and Grow. This journal can help anyone trying to make meaningful changes in their life, overcome obstacles, or increase self-love. The exercises, prompts, and practices are designed to put advice into action and help readers on their journey of self-discovery and growth.
