Amity Horsley, LMSW

Ms. Horsley is a Licensed Social Worker, who provides individual therapy to adults and teens 14 and older. Through a compassionate and culturally competent approach, she provides a safe and affirming space to explore and navigate various life transitions, trauma, mood disorders, relationship stressors, self-esteem/body image issues, anxieties, and grief/losses. With a focus on inclusivity and empowerment, Ms. Horsley enjoys supporting marginalized communities, including women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and BIPOC communities. She uses a multifaceted approach to therapy, drawing from psychodynamic therapy, strength-based approaches, and solution-focused therapy. In addition to traditional therapeutic methods, Ms. Horsley is also trained as a Brainspotting Practitioner, offering a somatic based approach to processing and healing trauma. This unique blend allows her to tailor individualized care for each person, creating a collaborative and accepting environment where a person can heal and grow. Ms. Horsley has experience working in mental health crisis programs, groups, inpatient hospitals, and individual therapy settings with adults and teens. Ms. Horsley received her master’s degree in social work from Wayne State University.
